Meet this Week's Bloggers!

This group is writing the update for the week.   Wow, we have been busy!

Science Blog:  This week in science we are working on clouds.  Everyday we go outside and draw clouds then tell what kind they are.  Cumulus clouds are white,  puffy, and less than a mile above the Earth.  This type of cloud appears when it is warm and sunny.  Another type of cloud is the Cumuloniumbus.  These are large, puffy, and grey on the bottom.  These clouds bring lightening, thunder, and rain.  Cirrocumulus clouds are lumpy or patchy and look like fish scales.   Joke:  What did the hygrogen atom say to the oxygen atom?

Reading Blog:  This week in reading our story is "SmokeJumpers".Our weekly question is, "How can we prepare for emergencies"? Our class said that you need a plan and  the essentials like a blanket, food, water, and flashlights. In the story "SmokeJumpers" are like firefighters who parachute out of planes and put out wildfires. It was a great story.

Joke:What do you get when you cross a firefighter with a parachuter?
Answer:A smokejumper.

Daily Math Blog:  This week in math we are learning probability.  Probability means the chance of getting something.  Your chances are unlikely, impossible, possible, likely, or definite.  For example:  There are 6 students and 3 jobs.  What is the chance of getting a job? Answer can be found next week.

Did You Know?  Nicole got a trophy in tumbling.  She got 1st in floor, 1st in double mini, and 2nd in trampoline.  Conner has a birthday Friday.  David J. brought several books to share during our Read- A - Thon.  David, Alissa, Will, Nicole, Kylie, and Isaac have all donated books to our class. Thank you!  Katelyn and Aaron are learning to tell time and Alissa takes horseback riding lessons.

Social Studies Blog: This week in Social Studies we have been talking about agriculture and manufacturing. We have learned that agriculture (farming) is raising livestock and growing crops. Agriculture is an industry.   Manufacturing is the making of products.  Some of the products from Ohio include, rubber, glass, and steel.
